Voting and Member Rights!!

Much has happened in the past month since the Court sent a clear message to NSP, that members can legally define their desired rights with a member vote.

The Member Group comprised of the five NSP divisions (Eastern, Europe, Intermountain, Pacific Northwest and Rocky Mountain), representing 50% of our active membership, has sponsored the Petition Amendment effort and has been working very hard on behalf of the members to ensure a fair and equitable voting process.

Very shortly, every active Patroller in the NSP will be given the opportunity to reestablish a NSP democratic representative system of governance by voting "YES" to the proposed amendments to the NSP Articles of Incorporation. In preparation, you may have some questions about each amendment. As an aid, the Patroller Committee and created a two documents that may be helpful.

Links to these documents can be found on the Home and the Documents page of the Patroller Committee website.

It is important to have all members vote in the coming election, so please share this information and encourage all your fellow patrollers to vote regardless of their position.

If you are a leader or a member who has made the effort to be educated on the issues, it is imperative that YOU get every patroller you know to vote. Call them, write them, but PLEASE reach out to others that are not as well informed. The future of the NSP is counting on you.

If you have further questions feel free to let us know. Valuable additional information and insight is available by visiting NSPEast or PatrollerCommittee.org.

By the way, are your addresses correct in the NSP web site? Please take a minute and log into the NSP web site and within the member services section, go to 'my profile' area and check both your e-mail and home mailing address and update via the edit option if they are incorrect. This needs to be done this week. It's very easy and quick, so do it now!!
