1. That the NSP vision/mission for over 60 years had a common theme for a member driven organization with a focus on skiing and ski safety.  Since 2004 NSP’s revised “vision is to be the premier provider of outstanding education programs…”  (more info on NSP mission statments)

2. That the NSP Division Director positions were autonomous from NSP Leadership control until 2002, which no longer is true.

• Prior to 2002, all Division officers were either directly or indirectly elected by membership. Based on new bylaws passed in 2002, the National Chair reviews and approves all nominees for Division Directors elections. The election of Division Directors is by Division Policy, but the National Chair and Executive Committee can at their discretion remove any Division Director from office.
