NSP Board Election Information

NSP Board Election Information from the Patroller Committee 2007-GET OUT THE VOTE- 2007

Within the next few days, as an NSP member you will have the opportunity to vote for four new members of your Board of Directors. This year's election will run from October 15 through December 1, 2007. Sixteen candidates are running for four BOD seats.

Voting in this year's election is entirely electronic via the VoteNet process. If you have a registered email address with the National Office, you will receive an email with voting instructions. If you do not have a registered email address, or if you have not received an email by October 17, go to http://www.nsp.org for further instructions. In the past 2 BOD elections the Patroller Committee (PC) has performed due diligence and endorsed candidates who support members' rights. Based on our research this year, all sixteen candidates qualify as member advocates.

Member Vote on Proposed Bylaw Changes

Each voting NSP Member should now have received either an electronic or written ballot on several proposed NSP Bylaw changes that pertain to Member Rights. Before the proposed "Member Rights" Bylaw changes can become official, they must be approved by the Members.

These proposals represent a collaborative effort of many and have been approved by the NSP Board and the Division Directors. The Patroller Committee also approves of the changes and believes they are in the best interest of NSP and Membership. We hope that each Member will become acquainted with the changes and take the time to vote. Members may vote until April 20, 2007.  (continued below)
